What we do
My journey to event planning began when I created a magical first birthday party for my oldest son, Carter. Inspired by his favorite book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," I designed every detail myself, and the experience was unforgettable! Planning his party sparked a passion in me to help people celebrate life's special moments, and Modern Little Events was born. Seeing the joy parties bring to my clients fuels my creativity and drives me to craft memorable experiences for families and kids, from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations.

I'm a Tennessee native with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Over the course of my career, I've held several leadership positions within the corporate and non-profit sectors. I'm a highly detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for creating memorable experiences. I love people, planning, and all the little details that make an event special (yes, even spreadsheets!).
I'm so grateful to share my life with my amazing husband, D'Juan, my best friend of 14 years and my biggest supporter. We have three beautiful children together: Carter, Roman, and Chloe. When I'm not planning events, I enjoy serving at my church, savoring an oat milk latte, exploring new places, and, most importantly, spending quality time with family and friends.
Creating cherished memories for my clients is a true honor, and we are thrilled to welcome you to our Modern Little Events family!
